IBM to Buy FileNet for $1.6B
IBM is to acquire FileNet in a move that will radically reshape the enterprise content management sector.
What an interesting acquisition for IBM. The deal won't officialy close until Q4, but this is certainly a lot of money. Business Week stated that , "FileNet makes enterprise content management (ECM) and business process management (BPM) software."
IBM apparently wants to use FileNet for its content management business, and will further integrate FileNet into their other applications.
