Keeping in Touch, No Matter Where You Go

Emoze - www.emoze.com - a new company, recently announced their new push email service, similar to Blackberry's - but here's the great part, it's free. If you're not familiar with how push email works, it's a process that automatically adds new mail, as you receive it, to your PDA, Blackberry, or similar device. It's a handy way to make sure you don't miss an important contact, or leave a client hanging.

According to the company:

The software is fully compatible with Microsoft Outlook and features powerful compression technology that saves on data transfer to your mobile device. With worldwide coverage on any network and easy installation, emoze is rewriting the future of mobile communications.

“Emoze is a revolution on-the-go, finally bringing push email to the masses," said Ziv Tur, VP Marketing at emoze. He continued, "We designed emoze to be fundamentally different from other push email products. Not only is it free – but it's also for everyone. You need no IT assistance, no technical knowledge, no credit-card details - five minutes and you have your office with you all the time".

The latest release of emoze works with all Microsoft PocketPCs, Microsoft Smartphones and most Symbian Series 60 Phones (Nokia 6680, Nokia 6630, Nokia 6600, Nokia 3230). To use emoze, all users need is an email account and a compatible device.

The software can be downloaded free from www.emoze.com, and quickly and easily installed. The intuitive interface is familiar and friendly to anyone that uses traditional email applications. Completely secure and private, emoze does not gather or send information from user PCs or mailboxes, plants no cookies, contains no hidden spyware or malware, and does not duplicate user data on emoze servers.

This app is definitely worth a shot, particularly if you are relying on your mobile phone for email communications. I personally feel that this is a great idea for businesses, particularly small business owners that run their companies from their homes. You may not always be able to be there to catch that important email, and if you are on an extended trip, it’s easy to miss one.

Blackberry had a great idea with their push service, but this one will most likely appeal to the masses, simply because it is free. It is also a great way to try out push email, if you’ve never used it before, since you won’t be out anything.

The list of compatible devices is impressive, and an important part of staying power for Emoze. Their business model appears to be sound, which means that you can enjoy their service without worrying about it going under. I also like the fact that this company is very upfront about their software, and that they have a commitment to providing spyware free applications. That has been a huge concern, particularly when it comes to free applications. Emoze also seems to be committed to keeping your private information private, and protecting your email communications, another important point for business owners. This is definitely a service I am willing to try, based on these principles alone. I feel much better knowing that a company is looking out for my interests, instead of just their own.
