An Easier Way to Monetize Your Blog

BloggerKit recently launched a new service that is making it even easier to earn some extra cash with your blog, or use your blog to make your affiliate business work even better for you.

Basically, it uses the new tagging system at Amazon to a better degree, making it easier for your readers to see things that are directly related to what you're talking about.

Right now, they don't require you to register and it only takes a few minutes to get set-up. It doesn't conflict with AdSense, which is really nice, and for Amazon affiliates, it may be a better way to really make use of their program. Note - you will need an affiliate account with Amazon.

I'll be trying this sometime this fall, and will let you know how it works out.

GotVoice?

One of the biggest challenges facing home business owners is trying to sound professional, even if you are operating out of your basement. Enter GotVoice, a new service that delivers voice mail right to your inbox.

The best part is, it's either free or really affordable, depending on the type of plan that you select. Voicemail from either your regular phone line or your cell phone are delivered to you in an MP3 format, which also makes it easier to keep records.

There are a lot of new companies like this out there, but to my knowledge, this is the only one that offers voice mail for your cellphone as well. With the free option, it is definitely worth a trial.

Back-ups Made Even Easier

BackupMyBlog recently launched in Beta, and it's a great little service for company blogs. Unless you are using Word Press, which offers a back-up feature, it's super easy to lose all of your posts. The downside is definitely the storage, a paltry 10 megs, but for infrequent bloggers, or bloggers that prefer text posts, this could come in handy.

Try it while it's still in Beta - and free, and see what you think. Hosted blogs don't appear to be eligible for back-ups, but if you have your own domain, and you're worried about losing your data, this may be the right new app for you.
